The public displeasure Donald Trump has indicated with current Attorney General Jeff Sessions goes far beyond A.G. Session’s rather timid response to the fake news Russia investigation. That timidity extends into Session’s reluctance to launch full scale investigations into the vast network of federal leaks orchestrated by Deep State operatives who are increasingly desperate to maintain the D.C. status quo.
With a White House staff shakeup that is just beginning, and a handful of conservative supporters within Congress, POTUS Trump is at this very moment preparing to wage all out war on the D.C. swamp as made clear by this report via Breitbart:
House conservatives will launch an effort to conduct an official House Judiciary Committee-led congressional investigation into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and fired former FBI director James Comey, a notorious leaker, Breitbart News can confirm exclusively.
Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) have drafted an amendment that would compel government cooperation with a congressional probe into Lynch’s and Comey’s activities.
Specifically, the amendment—a draft of which was obtained by Breitbart News—would compel the production of documents and evidence regarding Lynch’s order to Comey to “mislead the American people by starting he should refer to the investigation into the mishandling of classified data and use of an unauthorized email server by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a ‘matter,’ rather than a criminal ‘investigation.’”
The amendment specifically presses the Department of Justice to cooperate with the congressional investigation this would create, making it easier for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to probe these and the other matters laid out.
It’s make or break time for Attorney General Sessions. The Deep State Machine is going after POTUS Trump’s family and private business – attacks which have left the president infuriated and no longer willing to play nice. It is a high-stakes conflict that will either leave him victorious – or ruined.
If Sessions doesn’t have the stomach for the fight, Trump will likely move quickly to find a replacement who does. That will be no easy task given any nominee will have to pass the Senate confirmation process and some of POTUS Trump’s most ardent enemies are found within Congress.
It matters not.
The dogs of war have been unleashed.
