Bush Family Works To Include POTUS Trump In Honoring George H.W. Bush

In stark contrast to the overwhelmingly petty and selfish tone of the Senator John McCain memorial services, the Bush family has taken steps to try and make the services honoring former President George H.W. Bush free of partisan bickering. (Even as media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, etc., stoke the anti-Trump fires.) It is a gesture of class and dignity from the Bush family and one President Trump is said to be personally grateful for.

The Bush family has taken great care to assure that services being held to honor the life and legacy of former President George H.W. Bush do not become a political platform for anti-Trump swipes.

Such rhetoric was prominent in services for the late Sen. John McCain three months ago.

But with the Bush family patriarch’s casket lying in State at the U.S. Capitol this week ahead of Wednesday services in Washington, efforts have been made to avoid a politicized funeral. The family already contacted the White House this past summer saying that President Trump would be welcome at H.W. Bush’s services — and assured Trump that the focus would be on the 41st U.S. president’s life rather than their disagreements, The Washington Post reported, citing a former administration official.

“This will be about the celebration of the noble public service that George H.W. Bush gave. It’s not going to be about anybody else. I don’t think it’s going to be about Trump,” a former Bush associate told Politico.

…Trump had the final say over important funeral details, the person said, including providing Air Force One to carry the former president’s body from Texas to Washington for the funeral and back to Texas on Thursday for another service and burial.

President Trump has always had a warmer regard for George H.W. Bush than George W. Bush with the animosity toward the younger Bush coming primarily from the cost in lives and dollars that were the result of the Iraq War – a war Trump continues on occassion to verbally condemn. That said, the relationship between the Bushes and the president was said to have warmed considerably after First Lady Melania Trump attended the funeral nine months earlier for former First Lady Barbara Bush. It was reported Melania informed her husband how gracious the Bush family was to her and that in turn thawed the ice that had previously formed between President Trump and the Bushes. It must be noted the Establishment Media is fuming over how well the Bushes are treating the current president at this time as multiple media figures openly attempt to use the death of a former president to try and criticize the current one.

Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff Throws Tantrum Over Black Grandmother Escaping The Plantation

And make no mistake, Mr. Schiff speaks for a great many among the liberal elite who are outraged a black grandmother who was imprisoned during the era of Bill Clinton, kept there during the two terms of George W. Bush and Barack Obama, had her sentence commuted by President Trump. She even had the audacity to publicly thank the president for setting her free!

Apparently, Congressman Schiff feels she should have continued to rot in the white man’s prison and most certainly should not be given the freedom to express gratitude to the only POTUS who apparently gave a damn about her plight.

Trump Did What G.W. Bush Lacked The Courage To Do – Pardon An Innocent Man

Former G.W. Bush presidential assistant G. Scooter Libby was an innocent man when he was sentenced to 30 months in prison and a $250,000 fine. That sentence was the result of a man caught in the crosshairs of a political battle between a Democrat-controlled Congress and an increasingly unpopular Republican president. Bush would later commute the sentence, a half-hearted measure, but the felony conviction and the fine remained in place.

This week Donald Trump righted that terrible wrong – the howls of the liberal media be damned.

Legal experts have been calling for the Libby pardon for some time. Some are now saying Trump’s pardon was also a signal to the Mueller investigation – an ordeal that has proven even more of a miscarriage of justice then what happened to Mr. Libby.

“I don’t know Mr. Libby,” Mr. Trump said, according to the White House statement, “but for years I have heard that he has been treated unfairly. Hopefully, this full pardon will help rectify a very sad portion of his life.”

Where Bush cowered with half-measures Donald Trump has rectified in full.

Well done.
