It was another odd moment for current Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, as she mumbled and twitched her way to an idea that would see 16-year-olds voting in U.S. elections as a means of “capturing” those kids and turning them into Democrats.
From eating Tide PODS to helping decide the political future of a nation?
A new poll makes clear the vast majority of Americans think that is a very-very bad idea…
A new poll published Tuesday shows an overwhelming majority of American voters outright reject Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s recent push to lower the voting age to 16; throwing more cold-water on the leading Democrat’s efforts to “capture kids” while they’re “in high school.”
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters favor lowering the legal national voting age from 18 to 16. Seventy-four percent (74%) are opposed,” reports Rasmussen.
Even worse for Pelosi, just 25% of Democrats favored lowering the national voting age. That number decreased to 9% among Republican voters.
