Dems Party With Lobbyists In Puerto Rico During Government Shutdown.

Democrats don’t care about some federal workers not getting paid because of the partial government shutdown. Proof of that is the story out this weekend showing thirty Democrat members of Congress partying down in the sun and sand in Puerto Rico with more than 100 lobbyists. So when you hear a Democrat pretend to cry about the poor government workers who aren’t getting paid, remember the following pics and how they refuse to negotiated with President Trump to fund border security and re-open the government. The president is awaiting their return so a deal can be forged while Democrats would rather soak up the sun and get drunk and shmooze with lobbyists who are buying their votes.

Via The Washington Examiner:

Some 30 Democratic lawmakers left the government shutdown behind Friday on a chartered flight to Puerto Rico for a winter retreat with 109 lobbyists and corporate executives during which they planned to see the hit Broadway show “Hamilton” and attend three parties including one with the show’s cast.

…The event is taking place in a seaside resort where rooms go for $429 a night. Food is being provided.

Other Puerto Rico Mayor Praises POTUS Trump & America – Says San Juan Mayor “AWOL”

Guaynabo Mayor Angel Perez Otero has little respect for the media-obsessed San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz for politicizing the aid and rescue response following two devastating hurricanes that have pummeled the island territory within the same month.

Guaynabo Mayor Angel Perez Otero says that Mayor Yulin Cruz has been a no show at coordination meetings between FEMA, U.S. military officials, and Puerto Rican leaders.

“I’ve seen other mayors participating. She’s not,” said Perez Otero.

Perez Otero says he has been in constant contact with U.S. officials and is confident that they will provide the very best recovery efforts they can.

“We are receiving a lot of help from FEMA and the Red Cross…there is lots of help coming to us,”  adding, “they won’t leave until Puerto Rico is good.”

…it would appear Mayor Yulin Cruz seized this natural disaster as a political opportunity to score points as a hero for the people of Puerto Rico, despite not actually working with federal agents in recovery effort.

Perez Otero is now the second person today to report that Yulin Cruz has been non-compliant with federal aid.

Yulin Cruz has long been suspected of overseeing widespread corruption that has been a hallmark of San Juan politics for decades. The Establishment Media knows this but still chose to use her as the face of anti-Trump attacks following the hurricane disasters – a role Cruz was only too happy to play.

Award-winning veteran journalist Geraldo Rivera, who has been on the ground in Puerto Rico for days, put it this way:
