A multitude of media polls were rushed out last week following a Washington Post report that detailed allegations of Roy Moore dating teenaged girls forty years ago. These polls and subsequent media reports excitedly claimed Mr. Moore’s support among Alabama voters was crumbling.
While Mr. Moore’s alleged guilt or innocence regarding the allegations of dating young women/girls decades earlier remains unknown, it seems the voters of Alabama are now casting an increasingly skeptical eye on the media reports of the special election senate race and it appears momentum is actually returning to the Moore campaign. Democrats and the media know this to be true as indicated by the barrage of anti-Moore coverage over the last 48-hours and millions of dollars quietly pouring into the race from outside sources. The Doug Jones campaign is being especially careful not to be seen as cuddling up to big name Democrat Party outsiders like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer who are despised by most in the right-leaning state.
Here is what political insiders know of the Alabama senate race – truths the Establishment Media refuses to detail:
**After the Washington Post story broke outlining allegations of Moore dating teenage girls some forty years ago polling showed the race tightening. These polls were skewed, though. There was some loss of support for Moore but it was not double-digit as the media reports suggested. Judge Moore’s true lead among Alabama voters has never fallen below double-digits.
**The initial pull-back among Moore’s support has since started to reverse and his true lead among Alabama voters is likely approaching the 12-point mark as of today.
**Undecided Alabama voters will likely break for Moore by up to a 2 to 1 margin on Election Day which could push his margin of victory to 15 points or more.
Is Judge Roy Moore actually guilty of questionable judgement/behavior forty years ago? Perhaps, but for now the people of Alabama refuse to fully accept at face-value the media-generated attacks against him. While Moore remains a controversial figure he does not appear so controversial that he will lose to his Democrat opponent, Doug Jones.
Watch for the Establishment attacks against Moore to intensify in the coming days. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is said to be working closely with Karl Rove-connected political operatives to try and counter the recent Roy Moore resurgence in Alabama. This will be a collaborative effort between McConnell, Rove, and various media groups.
If you thought the race was a brutal one already – just wait.
You won’t have to wait long.
What a disgusting cesspool of self-serving corruption is the nation’s capital and no better example of that can be found today than Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell who, according to longtime political activist, Ned Ryun, was a primary source of the anti-Roy Moore stories that are now attempting to sway the upcoming Alabama special election and help clear the path for a Trump impeachment attempt in 2018.
“…I strongly suspect it’s a very short list of people, all who are associated with Mitch McConnell – whether it’s Josh Holmes, whether it’s Karl Rove, might even be Steven Law – I don’t know, but I strongly, strongly suspect somebody out of the McConnell camp planted the story. It was planted. This came with the blessing of Mitch McConnell at some point, that he was going to take a political shot at Roy Moore.”
According to whispers, it wasn’t just taking “political shot” at Moore that motivating the McConnell camp. They want Roy Moore out of the way and replaced with someone of McConnell’s choosing, or even Moore’s Democrat opponent, Doug Jones, a man whose career is linked to the Bill Clinton administration. Moore would be a vehement defender of POTUS Trump and his policies. If McConnell is to succeed in laying the groundwork for an impeachment trial and vote in the Senate, he will need fewer senators like Roy Moore to contend with.
McConnell is said to know actual impeachment proceedings remain a distant possibility, (the Paul Ryan-led House would first have to vote to impeach) but he is more determined than ever to be ready should that opportunity present itself. For those who might scoff at the notion of a Republican Congress actually pursuing articles of impeachment against Donald Trump, simply recall the failed votes to repeal and replace Obamacare, the ongoing troubles to pass tax cuts, and the number of Republican senators who continue to openly speak out against the President.
The motivation to go after Trump is there. What is left is a simple matter of numbers. Getting rid of a Roy Moore and replacing him with an anti-Trump senator would give McConnell that much more leverage to make his desire to eliminate Trump and restore Establishment control a reality.
It was a rather cagey move via Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The longtime anti-Trumper was barely able to conceal his smirk as he informed the media that should Roy Moore win next month’s Alabama special election to fill the vacant Senate seat created when Jeff Sessions became the U.S. Attorney General, it would be up to President Trump to make the final decision regarding whether or not Moore would be allowed to actually serve in the Senate.
McConnell indicated he has already discussed the subject of Roy Moore with the President and further discussion will take place this week. When a reporter asked the Senate Majority Leader if he believed the stories woman told about sexual harassment against them by Donald Trump, McConnell again appeared to want to smile as he declined to give a verbal response.
Democrats in Congress are said to already be preparing a full-on “If Roy Moore isn’t fit to be a senator then Donald Trump isn’t fit to be President” campaign. More troubling is that some among the Republican leadership are quietly but enthusiastically supporting the effort which is already being prepared by Establishment Media contacts as well. You can be sure Mitch McConnell is among those helping out the anti-Trump cause. Keep your eyes and ears open for the media’s soon-to-be repeated attempts to compare and contrast Roy Moore to Donald Trump in the coming days.
Things are once again about to get very ugly in D.C.
