County Sheriff Offers Free Gun Training To 50 Teachers. More than 300 Sign Up

Teachers want to help to make our schools safer and they want to help now.

The Establishment Media would have you think otherwise.

Ohio Sheriff Richard Jones thinks its crazy the country isn’t allowing teachers the opportunity to be the first line of defense for our kids. Train them, arm them, and pay them for that service. It’s simple, it’s cheap, and would far more effective in helping to make our schools safe versus the ongoing and highly divisive media-driven debate pitting gun control versus gun rights.

It’s almost like those demanding more and more gun-control laws don’t actually want a real-world solution to school safety.

An Ohio sheriff who offered free firearms training to 50 teachers was forced to cap his offer at 300, after a flood of local school employees signed up in the wake of a Florida high school shooting that left 17 people dead.

“We put it online, we thought we’d get 20 school teachers maybe. Within 20 minutes we had 40. Within an hour we had 100. Within four hours we had 200. By the next morning, at 300, we cut it off,” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said on “Fox & Friends.”

“We have to do something here because we can’t wait for our government to do anything. All they do is fight, they get nothing done,” he said.

It’s So Simple Really. Protect Our School Kids Now. Just Do It!

In the aftermath of the latest school shooting tragedy more and more in America are coming to realize the how and why of that tragedy are not so much a gun issue (though others continue to take that intellectually lazy approach) as it is a far more simple protection issue. Schools could be made so much safer within a few months of focused training, staff adjustments, and protocol enhancements, and yet, those real-world fixes are not being pushed by the socio-political powers that dominate the discussion.

Why is that? Why do these people seem happy to continue endangering our school children? Make no mistake. At this very moment, there is a troubled individual out there somewhere contemplating doing something horrible.

Enough is enough.

Protect our school kids now.
