President Trump signed the 1.2 trillion dollar Omnibus bill today with open frustration over both the process and the product of that bill. Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer heaped praise on Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for their help in what Pelosi called a great bill for the American worker.
What wasn’t said was how the Republican and Democrat leadership worked together to force POTUS Trump’s hand and create a voter backlash they hope will fracture Mr. Trump’s base of support among millions of Americans.
“How could he sign this bill?” said one Trump supporter on Twitter.
“WTF??? This was the opposite of MAGA,” said another.
“Trump just gave 1.2 trillion to the swamp,” was another comment.
If the above reactions represent the feelings of a majority of Trump supporters it might very well be the first real crisis of support for the President – an outcome that is exactly what Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer were hoping for.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. He had witnessed previous shutdown blowback pummel hapless Republicans as a willing and determined Mainstream Media shaped the anti-Republican narrative.
This time was different. This time Schumer was dealing with Donald Trump and millions of highly informed Trump supporters/voters.
The result? Critical swing states such as Ohio are coming out against the Democrats on the current shutdown shenanigans as Americans wonder why in the hell Democrats would shut down government paid for by citizens in favor of non-citizens. Over the weekend Democrats became increasingly nervous as they watched the Sunday news shows fail to halt the anti-Democrat tide rising against them. In the early Morning hours of Monday, Senator Schumer let it be known – the shutdown needs to end or his party is going to be on the receiving end of some seriously angry voters come the Midterm Elections. Phone calls are said to have been received from the Schumer office with the same message – “We need to end this go**amn shutdown.”
An emboldened Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is calling for the vote as Schumer, other Democrats, and now the media, will go into full-on spin mode to try and make the fiasco appear to be something less than a total and complete failure on their part. (And remember, it was D.C. Whispers who first reported over the weekend that “Schumer had blinked” even as Establishment Media disinformation was indicating different. That report is now being proven 100% accurate.)
And we haven’t even got to a resolution on the #releasethememo scandal yet.
Tick-tock Mr. Obama…
“HOLD THE LINE.” -Secretary of Defense: General “Mad Dog” Mattis
He has seen the brutality of war. This hyper-partisan nonsense taking place in D.C. doesn’t appear to have General Mattis fazed one bit as he assures our U.S. Military it will be business as usual as they rise above the petty posturing of limp-wristed politicians like Chuck Schumer.
READ. SHARE. EDUCATE.
The President sent out a single tweet addressing his concerns regarding Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi being weak on immigration and crime and wanting to raise taxes:
Both Schumer and Pelosi promptly (and predictably) cancelled their appearance at that White House meeting which soon after resulted in this photo op:
The Trump White House placed the President in between the two empty chairs of Pelosi and Schumer and even included their name placards while the President then opened the meeting noting their absence and making remarks about the very serious North Korea missile launch.
The Democrat leadership was exposed yet again for being petty pouters who put their own personal feelings before the safety and security of the nation. Mr. Trump knows this. He wants others to know it as well.
Also, note buffalo fighting off the wolves in the background.
That was no accident, either.
