As reported here earlier, Barack Obama was the recipient of a very lucrative $65 MILLION book deal from the same publishing company he earlier awarded a $350 MILLION government contract tied to Common Core educational materials.
Now, thanks to many readers who helped to forward that information to friends and family, the president himself is calling for an investigation into that highly suspicious and seemingly pay-to-play deal.
Via The Hill:
Trump calls for probe of Obama book deal
“It’s a disgrace,” he continued. “We want to find out what happened the last Democrat president. Let’s look into Obama the way they’ve looked into me. From day one they’ve looked into everything we’ve done.”
“They could look into the book deal that President Obama made. Let’s subpoena all of his records,” Trump continued. “Let’s subpoena all of the records having to do with Hillary Clinton and all of the nonsense that went on with Clinton and her foundation and everything else.”
Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama signed lucrative book deals with Penguin Random House in 2017 after they left office. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
And here is the information the above report by The Hill chose to leave out as reported here earlier this week:
Obama Gave Pub Firm $350 MILLION Govt. Contract – Then Signed $65 Million Deal With Same Publisher!
Remember how fond the far-left media once was of saying how Barack Obama enjoyed a “scandal free” presidency?
Check out this pay-to-play example that is now going viral that was done via the very lucrative publishing deal Mr. Obama signed off on soon after leaving the White House in 2017. That deal was via a subsidiary of a major publishing firm that was quite pleased to have been given a very large government contract to create materials for the already failed Common Core education program.
Obama gave Pearson Publishing a government contract worth $350 million for their work to create the Common Core text for his administrations education initiative.
A subsidiary of that same publisher gave Obama roughly $65 million for his book deal after he left office.
