Alleged Ukraine whistleblower Eric Ciaramella has enjoyed a long stretch of protective custody by far-left politicians and the media.

This week, Senator Rand Paul attempted to bring Mr. Ciaramella’s role in the Trump-Ukraine hoax front and center via a question posed during the Senate impeachment trial.

Chief Justice John Roberts, in this case aligned with those on the left wanting to protect Ciaramella, a Democrat himself who is a government holdover from the Obama years, refused to read the question out loud.

Read on to find out what that question was…

Via The Federalist:

During the Senate impeachment trial Thursday, Chief Justice John Roberts declined to read a question submitted by Sen. Rand Paul which included the name of Eric Ciaramella, the man RealClear Investigations has identified as the whistleblower at the heart of the impeachment inquiry.

The Kentucky Republican submitted the question card, and after reading it, Roberts replied, “The presiding officer declines to read the question as submitted.” Paul’s question did not use the term whistleblower or identify Ciaramella as the whistleblower.

Paul then took to Twitter, disclosing his question. “My exact question was: Are you aware that House intelligence committee staffer Shawn Misko had a close relationship with Eric Ciaramella while at the National Security Council together,” Paul stated, “and are you aware and how do you respond to reports that Ciaramella and Misko may have worked together to plot impeaching the President before there were formal house impeachment proceedings.”

This Ciaramella issue is an especially sticky one for the Democrats and their far-left media cohorts because it not only implicates House impeachment leader Congressman Adam Schiff, but beyond that connection it also leads directly to the former Obama White House which mounting evidence suggests was deeply involved in an attempted plot to manipulate the 2016 election outcome and then later, subvert the newly-formed Trump administration in 2017.

First came the Mueller investigation and when that failed, this impeachment fiasco.

Senator Paul appears to be among the very few in D.C. willing to push for full disclosure on those troubling connections while the D.C. establishment, perhaps fearing considerable retribution from an American public outraged to learn just how corrupt the system has become, are working hard to avoid such a disclosure.

Strange days indeed.

Most peculiar, Momma…
