Reagan Statue Erected In Germany To Mark 30th Anniversary Of The Fall Of The Berlin Wall

It remains one of the most significant stories of the second half of the 20th century. The failed anti-freedom communist/socialist policies of the former Soviet Union gave way to the opportunity for freedom and democracy for hundreds of millions all across eastern Europe within just a few years of then-President Ronald Reagan making this remarkable speech that was heard around the world – including by those who had been forced to live in tyranny and oppression on the other side of the wall:

The 7-foot Reagan statue will be formally inaugurated by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Nov. 8, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall:
